Hi,

i’ve been struggling with this one for a while,

I am trying to override the tell a friend feature to enable users to recommend a whole site rather than just a blogpost,

so far i have the http://www.ggjump.com/ext.refer2friend.zip extension file installed but am not sure what i need in addition to this to make the extension active?

Any help would be great, thanks in advance!

Maybe it’s not enabled? Under Admin click Utilities, and then Extensions. Then click “enable”.

😊

Ok it was enabled, i just didn’t test it properly on the front end-

weird how as soon as it is enabled it becomes ‘active’, i thought there may need to be something passed in as a parameter within the tags..

Any idea how to manipulate the data entered on the front end?

i.e i have a “tell a friend” form with name, email, recipient email and message.

However, in addition to the message i want to add:

“Kind Regards, ” {insert name entered in "name" text input}

{www.example.com} - hyperlink to the site.

Can’t seem to get it to work..
