Hi,

I am trying to encrypt a paypal button that I am generating with Mark Bowens Shopping Cart plugin. In an old thread I read that this may be possible with the built-in encryption of the SCM, but the example given does not really help, because I do not know how to implement it.

In a newer thread I found a php solution that seems to be able to do what I want.

I tried to get it working, but I must be doing something wrong because my EE tags either don’t get parsed and cause a php error or the tags are parsed but the php is inserted into the site as text…

I tried different combinations of embeds, nothing worked, and now I am confused and do not know how to tackle this.

Just updated the thread that I created some time back. Unfortunately no good news except that I did get it to work with hard-coded values but I haven’t tested with ExpressionEngine values as of yet.

You definitely have PHP parsing turned on for the templates where you are using PHP don’t you?

Best wishes,

Mark

Yes, PHP parsing was definitely turned on.

docflo, I’m going to move this to the plugins forum since you’re working with Mark’s plugin.

Actually as an aside it’s not totally to do with the plugin as the plugin doesn’t deal with this itself anyway. More of a how-to item I think. 😉

I think it’s a technical issue because I am having problems with template parsing order and I need someone to help me with that!

Sorry point taken. Just wanted to say that it’s not so much a problem with the plugin as you don’t have to use the plugin to create the links that you currently have.
