Call Extension when posting new Entries

Dear all,

First of all I’d like to say hello to everbody! I’m actually not a Green Horn on ExpressionEngine but allthough I have a question for a customizing: Is it possible to add functionality actions with a custom extension when adding new weblog entries outside the Control Panel with the Stand-Alone Entry Form? I hoped there’s a way to “install” an extension which constructor, or any other method, is called when a new entry gets posted.

Let me know if you don’t understand my question and sorry for this bad topic name, I had no idea how to call this 😊
