Sharing entries across multiple sites with Mark Huot checkbox extension

Hi,

I am running two online news sites with multiple site manager, and I would like to be able to share news articles between the sites.

I have added a checkbox custom field (named “appear_on”) where the user can choose all sites they would like the article to appear on. (This method was suggested to me in this post: http://ellislab.com/forums/viewreply/567065/. I am using Mark Huot’s checkox extension v1.0.1)

I have the following code:

{exp:weblog:entries weblog="news_articles" site="siteA|siteB" search:appear_on='siteA'}
        
    {title}


{/exp:weblog:entries}

This code will show only articles from siteA, and no articles from siteB with the ‘appear_on’ checkbox set to siteA.

Any idea what might be happening here?
