Can Tag Module work with Structure Module?

I’m currently in the EE development stage of a site on which I would like to use both the Structure Module and you Tag Module, but I’ve run into a problem in implementation…
The Structure module requires that the Pages Module be Deactivated The Tag Module is dependent on the Pages Module.
Is there any way around this?

I’ve been trying to retrace my investigative steps from yesterday, but alas I couldn’t find the post which alluded to this. From what I remember it said something along the lines of “the Tag module uses the Pages module to display tabs on the Edit and Publish pages”
Either way, the actual issue I’m having is that I don’t see any Tag tab when I try to create or edit an entry.

As far as I’m aware, the Tag Module doesn’t (and has no reason to) require the Pages module. I’d recommend a post on the Solspace forms about your tab not showing up.

Thanks. I actually just managed to solve the problem by deactivating, then reactivating the Extension!? Weird. But very relieved I don’t have to venture back into the maze that is the Solspace “documentation” and forums.
