TinyMCE issue

I just installed TinyMCE. And the formatting buttons do appear at the bottom of the text area.

Now, however, I get a lot of garbled code at the beginning of the page when I try to publish or edit an entry (like the stuff added below, but a lot more of it.). Does anyone know what that is all about and what can be done about it?
