I installed this extension, enabled it, and it says it created an .htaccess file successfully, but where is the file? I see no .htaccess file in / or in public_html or in the EE system folder.
I’m thinking that I’m missing something in the install procedure. I’ve also tried creating an empty .htaccess file and put it in / but it still remains empty after I reconfigure LG .htaccess generator.
I figured it out. I needed to put an empty .htaccess file in the public_html folder and set permissions to 666. This part of the installation instructions could be clearer, but I’m glad to get it working, and I’m glad someone has finally come up with a solution for this problem. I’ve been working with Drupal lately and it has a built-in one click option for SEO-friendly URLs. It would be great if this was part of the EE core since I think a lot of people want this feature.
