Hiya,
I’ve built an Extension that builds upon existing EE functionality, namely the way users publish and edit pages to the Pages Module.
The Extension replicates the existing Pages Tab on the publish page, but has some additional settings such as what weblogs the tab appears in, and what template groups are visible for publishers when publishing a page.
Also, the new tab has a “Show page tree” button (on screengrab attached) which opens up a complete list of pages published on the site (on second screengrab attached). When a user selects a page from the list, it automatically completes the page uri field, and closes the page tree.
I’m now stuck as I need to make the extension MSM compatable and need assistance from the EE community… This is the first Extension I’ve built and I’ve basically hit the wall with my limited php skills.
The question is: how do I go about getting help - it uses a fair amount of EE code from the proprietary Pages Module and I don’t want to get on the wrong side of copyrights etc…
How do I proceed from here? Any input greatly appreciated.
Iain.

You can ask EllisLab to allow you to use their proprietary code in your extension.
I saw in some extensions notices that the use of ExpressionEngine’s code was sactioned by EllisLab.
