Hi,
Just a quick and dirty FieldFrame field for MCImageManager.
I hope someone can use it and even develop it further. I don’t consider it production quality as I haven’t tested it and it is my first extension. I guess LG will eventually make a FF version of his great LG Image Manager field so this won’t be needed.
I will however most likely change this to use my own file manager that I am developing - whenever I have some free time 😉
Hi,
yes I am being cautious as I am not an experienced extension developer and am not aware of possible pitfalls when the extension is upgraded for an example, settings field changed and such. I just haven’t investigated it well enough to be confident.
However - the functionality is so simple that there is really not much room for problems so it might work just fine.
I was thinking about changing it so that the CP would display the thumbnail generated by MCI Imagemanager but I haven’t done it yet because the user actually has a lot of control over where the thumbnails are located and renamed. So I would have to take that into account in the plugin. I haven’t worked out a decent way to do that.
Best, Sammi

Fair enough. 😉

That would be really helpful especially when used for photo galleries – considering the “less than descriptive” file naming my clients tend to use.
Thanks again.
I can’t get this one or LG Image Manager to work at all. When I browse directly to the MCImageManager (at a URL like this one): http://www.mydomain.com/path/to/manager/imagemanager/pages/im/index.html?domain=alamode.com
Everything is fine.
When I open the ImageManager from within EE, it never finds the folders I’ve specified in the config. The ImageManager loads, but it keeps loading and loading forever, never pulling up photos. Firebug says it’s looking for: http://www.mydomain.com/path/to/manager/imagemanager/js/../index.php?type=im&page=index.html&domain=alamode.com
When I copy and paste that URL into the browser bar, it redirects to the URL above and works fine.
I have the path configured correctly and the config.php seems to be working standalone, so I’m at a loss and very discouraged. Any ideas?
Thanks, Dan
Update: To clarify - It doesn’t matter if I use Sambo’s FF extension or Leevi’s LG Image Manager, the result is the same.
Update: I’m befuddled, but now this seems to be working. It’s popping up in a new window and it seems to work just fine. Not sure what changed.
