Rendering EE tags using template class

If i have this:

$eetags = "{date format="%F %d %Y"}";

How can i render ee code?

Basically i want to pass a string containing ee tags into the template class and it return rendered code. Is this possible?

(i know my example can be easily done in php, its just to illustrate)
