This is really odd but I’m attempting to save an entry but it’s not saving. It’s only redirecting me back to the website’s homepage after submitting. If I remove the offending word “having” it’ll save. I resorted to adding a space in between the v and the i to get around it. The word by itself doesn’t prevent it from saving however. It’s just relative to the rest of the entry. If I remove most of the text and place the word “having” somewhere else, it’ll save but I don’t see any correlation in position or length. At least, not something that’s obvious.
I’ve upgraded to 2.10 to see if that would correct the issue from 2.9 but no luck. I disabled all the extensions too but that didn’t solve it. My host also upgraded my version of php to 5.5.30. Would that cause it?
I’ve also seen this in my templates where certain content will prevent the template from saving.
Any possible explanations?
Thirded, and your server’s error logs should have a corresponding entry indicating which mod_security
rule was trapping, which can help your host figure out what they need to tweak. In all honesty though, any input filters should probably be disabled entirely for your control panel.
