Site Error: Unable to Load Site Preferences; Invalid Preference Data
How Do I?
I’ve migrated my site to a new hosting provider but not yet switched DNS to the new site as I’m upgrading it first. When upgrading from EE1.6.3 to 2.10.1 it get’s stuck at version 2.9.2 with the following message
An Error Was Encountered Site Error: Unable to Load Site Preferences; Invalid Preference Data
I’ve tried numerous solutions from the forums the most referenced being updating the exp_sites with newly serialised data. However, this has not worked. Long term I am planning to upgrade to release 3 but wanted to stage the migration to make it easier.
Would be useful to know if anyone can help
Hi Richard, it’s possible that you have a corrupt database or in incomplete transfer to the new host. As helping to fix this will likely to require someone to log in, if you haven’t already this issue would best be handled by support.
