Just found a nasty little bug (or it might just be me?)

As soon as you edit a custom field which is provided by an addon, a PHP error occurs.

Notice Undefined index: editor ee/EllisLab/ExpressionEngine/Controller/Channels/Fields/Fields.php, line 300 show details

Screenshot: http://par.sc/1le3z (link valid for 1 month)

Creating the custom field works fine. Happens in all version of PHP.

Hi Manuel,

I think I see the problem. Would I be correct in assuming that you did not set fieldtype compatibility metadata for your fieldtype? We just added that to DP5 and updated the docs relating to app.setup.php as to how to do it.

There is a bug in the code and we’ll get it patched.

Hi Seth,

You are right, adding the compatibility metadata fixed the issue.
