Channel Form: How to set Status on edit entries form

Hi,

I’ve created a new custom status “Pending Review” in channel form settings on EE and I’m using the following code to submit and edit entries in the same template:

{exp:channel:form channel="mychannel" return="ENTRY_ID" error_handling="inline" rules:product_images="required" rules:tags="required" use_live_url="no" entry_id="{segment_3}" url_title=""}

Everything is working fine when members submit new entries. The status of submitted entries is Pending Review until moderator approve it and change to Open Status.

When members edit one entry with Open status they always get a blank screen because the status of edited entries changed to “Close”. How can I set the default status for edit entry form to “Pending Review” or Open?
