Can someone remind me of the trick to get the DP to upgrade? I was at 3.0.6, then I dropped in the new files and loaded the CP. I didn’t see an upgrade wizard screen, but the CP loaded fine. In the footer it reported as 3.1.0 and my config got updated to 3.1.0, however, I don’t see the new columns on the snippets and global variables columns, so it doesn’t look like the db updates are actually performed. Is this a bug or am I just not upgrading the DP properly?

The updater should have at least loaded and said you were up-to-date, is there an installer folder in your system/ee/ folder? You’ll at least need that, then change app_version in your config file back to 3.0.6 then you should be able to run 3.1’s updates when you access the updater.

Yeah, I see the installer folder, and it gets renamed from installer to installer_3.1.0. I don’t recall getting the up-to-date message. I’ll try again this weekend.

Oh, it’s renaming because it has permission to do so. If it doesn’t have permission, it says everything is up-to-date and asks you to rename. Change app_version in your config file and it shouldn’t rename it, it should let you run the 3.1 updates, then rename.
