How to Add Add-Ons to ExpressionEngine 3?

Hey All,
New here with a fresh install of ExpressionEngine 3.06 and i’ trying to install third party add-ons. However, all of the instructions that i come across are instructions prior to EE 3, which has a different folder structure. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get an add-on installed? Thanks!

They should go to /system/user/addons/
