How Do I?

Hello,

I am an IT professional, and have volunteered to help change some HTML code for footnotes on every single page of the website, 24 big books in all.

The text to be changed on every page is exactly the same.

I am a WordPress user, have never used Expression Engine before. I would like to know - without programming but as a user with only edit privileges - is this possible to do? If you can help with this, I am forever you your debt, because if not, this is a Herculean task and as boring a task as one can imagine.

The web site was developed by an external agency, not inhouse, cost is a factor, and they have decided to let volunteers handle it instead. I want to help, but the labor involved is more than daunting…

Thank you in advance!

When you say “24 books”, what exactly do you mean? Also, are we talking about static HTML-pages? If this is an EE setup, shouldn’t it be sufficient to change a few templates? That said, EE even has a Search & Replace utility which should easily do the trick. Just be sure to make a full backup first …
