I’ve set up a grid for future events which makes use of the date field. I’ve got separate text fields set up for performance times and details so it’s confusing for my client to see the time entered in the date field when selecting a future date. Can we have an option to turn the time input option off, or at lease make it invisible when creating or editing entries please?

Yes, please! I’ve run into the confusing UX for clients with this as well.

As a workaround (read: hack), you could use the Digi Nut Control Panel CSS & JS extension and modify those fields’ output via javascipt.

Agree, for any date field it would be great to choose date only or date/time.

As a workaround http://gotolow.com/addons/low-events might fit the bill…
