Related entries now outputting randomly

I’m running EE3 and outputting Related entries, but they’re being listed in a different order every time I refresh the page.
Why are they now being output randomly?
Shouldn’t they be listed in the same order as specified in the Parent entry?

{cat-products}
{cat-products:title}
{/cat-products}
{/exp:channel:entries}

I’ve found that re-editing the Parent Entry and Publishing again, has fixed the Related Entries into position (ie. they no longer outputting randomly every time). Very weird.

Now I’ve just added another Related product to the Parent Entry, and my whole list of Related products has become jumbled up. What’s going on?
