Manage categories switch in channel entry disabled

Hi, for some reason all channels that have categories assigned will no longer allow me to ‘manage categories’ from within the channel entry screen, where previously I could. I’m logged in as superadmin, and have full access for everything. When I try clicking the switch, nothing happens. Tried multiple browsers. Disabled all plugins an no luck
Any ideas? thanks
OK… so I’ve just done a clean install of ee 3.3.2 and it seems to work, but, you’ll notice the ‘manage categories’ button is aligned right and colours of greens are darker, so I’m wondering if this will only affect people who have upgraded from previous versions of ee.
Another update, i’ve just renamed the ‘ee’ folder in system to eeORG, and added the ee folder from v3.2 - so effectively rolling back to ee version 3.2.0 and the manage categories now works, although the toggle switch is now ‘on off’ - so I the problem has occurred when upgrading from ee2 - to ee3
