EE 2.11.1. Synchronize files not working after PHP upgrade to 5.6.20. No error, no progress bar. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Kyle,

Do you happen to have any errors in your JavaScript console?

It looks like the AJAX response is not the expected JSON object. Can you inspect that response and let me know what you find?

I’m seeing HTML in the console response, not JSON output. The HTML is for the cp page and includes an array for the images in the directory I’m trying to sync (file_manager”:{“sync_files”:[…”).

I suspect a PHP error is the problem since the PHP upgrade is the new variable on the server but not positive. I do have control over the PHP config/ini to make changes if needed. Can also PM the phpinfo output if that helps troubleshoot. thanks!

Could you copy and paste the HTML you are getting back? If there is a PHP error it will be embedded in that HTML and that will help me track down a fix for you.

Was mistaken. Not seeing HTML returned from the script, was viewing the HTML from the cpanel page.

Ended up resolving via EllisLab paid support. Turns out there was a bug in suhosin (php security plugin) 0.9.36 which was throwing PHP errors for any empty variable. Updating to 0.9.38 resolved the issue and can now sync images again.

Thanks for working with us on it.
