How Do I?

I’m running two sites using MSM in EE3. We have a dev server and a production server. Is there a way to copy channel entries from one server to the other without having to copy the entire database? I used to just copy the entire db but now that there are two sites involved, I’d rather not do that.

Hi there, it’s a bit of a tricky situation. Before you do anything, make sure you have backups.

If the production server and dev server originally had the same exact database and you just added entries to one of the servers and now want to copy it to another, you could export/import the tables exp_channel_titles and exp_channel_data.

This will only work if both sites have the exact same channels, fields, etc.. and everything must match 100%. If you created channels/fields on each site manually, even if they are the same fields/channels this method will not work and will likely cause database/site corruption.
