Better linking within the RTE

When inserting a link within the RTE it would be good to be able to link to an asset, such as a PDF that has been upload via a browse button of something.
It would also be a good to be able to create a link to a entry without having to know the URL, again maybe via a browse button that shows a list of entries.

FWIW, the Expresso WYSIWYG addon just implemented something similar to what you request. https://devot-ee.com/add-ons/expresso

I’ll have a look at that on my next EE build.
It would be nice to have it native to EE though.
