Completely new to EE. I’m helping a friend out with their company site and can’t figure out the weirdest of things. The contact form that was previously set up is sending emails out to an address I or they have never had any dealings with. I’m not sure if the previous company just copied and pasted the info from someone else’s site or what but i can’t stop it. I’ve changed the following on the page to state recipients=”***@*****.com” where the erroneous address was previously but to no avail. I’ve cleared the cache for EE as well as my browser but we’re still spamming this poor chap with our contact form request. Any one able to help me?
{exp✉️contact_form user_recipients="no" recipients="info@johnst**ehouse.com" charset="utf-8"} <label>First Name (required)</label> <input type=”text” class=”text” maxlength=”150” value=”{member_name}” /> <label>Email (required</label> <input type=”text” class=”text” name=”from” value=”{member_email}” maxlength=”150” /> <label>Message (required)</label> <textarea name=”message” cols=”40” rows=”6”></textarea> <input type=”image” src=”{site_url}assets/images/contact-submit.jpg” value=”Submit!”> {/exp✉️contact_form}
The address it keeps sending to is cbl**[email protected] who i looked up and is a developer in the states. Made we wonder if it was a default left in and he’d created the code for it but other than the html snippet above i can’t find that address anywhere in the site config or database :(
