How do I add the ExpressionEngine CMS 3.5.1 license key

I have downloaded the ExpressionEngine CMS 3.5.1 license key. When I go to upload the license to our site, the key is asking to be typed in not uploaded. I feel like I am missing something. Thanks in advance for any help.

If you go to settings > License & Registration you should see an upload form for your license, there is not a way to type in a license key in 3.5.1
