EE3: Autoposting to social media & meta

How Do I?

What solutions are people using in EE 3 for autoposting new entries to Twitter and Facebook? It seems like doing this from EE would be better than using a third-party service.

Also, are there any addons for EE 3 that facilitate setting up meta, open graph and so on? I find that my head starts spinning everytime I look at how to do that.

I use Hootsuite to auto-post to Twitter, Facebook, and G+ using my RSS feed. (It’s a third-party service, but since it also lets me monitor all of my various social-media channels, it’s not like I’m not using it for other things anyway…)

I don’t know, for sure, that there’s any way to get Twitter or FB to read your RSS feed - they aren’t RSS aggregating services.

We’ve used https://ifttt.com/ a fair bit and it works a treat. It works by reading an RSS feed and posting to whatever services you want.

For OG data meta tags (I’m presuming you mean for Facebook.Twitter) I just use existing channel fields to populate the tags, or for generic data like twitter handle/OG type these are either hard coded or editable as variables.
