EE3: How do I hide a channel from the Create menu?

I seem to not be able to find anything in the documentation about how to hide a channel from the Create menu, but I might be searching on the wrong terms. I have a lot of channels that I’ve limited to one entry, but they still show up in both the Create and Edit menus even after the limit has been reached. Ideally, I’d only want them showing up in the Edit menu, to keep the Create menu less cluttered.
In EE2, the CP Menu Master plugin handled this nicely, but I’m not sure how to go about accomplishing this in EE3. Can it be done natively?
Go to edit the Member group you want to hide channels from. In the group settings to can uncheck the channels you don’t want them to have access to.
Won’t that hide the channels from both the Create and Edit menu? I only want to hide channels with a limit of 1 from the Create menu but still allow members to access those channels through the Edit menu.
