Getting error: Thumbnail could not be created for the image. GD is required for creating thumbnails.

When I try to upload an image, I get the error:

Thumbnail could not be created for the image. GD is required for creating thumbnails.

The folder is set to 777. What could be causing this?

You really are a noob - huh - lol. No dis - we all have been there. 😊

GD is a PHP module required for image creation - just ask your host provider to install it for you (normally GD2 is default installed on any LAMP stack I’ve ever seen).
