Hi,

We are having some issues where our cms system is causing very high load on our web server. This is rather strange as we haven’t made any changes to the site in months and have only just started experiencing issues. Specifically, there is one SQL statement causing the high load, “SELECT DISTINCT(exp_channel_data.entry_id) FROM exp_channel_data JOIN exp_channel_titles ON exp_chan”. It has gotten so bad that our hosting service has had to take down a section of the website.

We are using Expression Engine v2.6.1. Does anyone have an idea of why this is happening and how this problem can be resolved?

Many thanks in advance

Don’t think that’s a native query, Curtis, though the app version is very old so it’s possible. Turn on the output profiler and you should be able to see all queries, and pinpoint it down to the exact file and line number responsible.
