How Do I?

This is going to be a bit long winded, so I’m sorry in advance

I installed EE Core, messed about with my own theme, it worked pretty nicely, I was making progress, so in order to continue I decided to purchase a license.

I uploaded the license from the admin control panel, but it did not seem to upload, I got a little sick of it so I quit doing that.

I thought I’d upload the full 4.3.0 version manually, after uploading it, like an idiot I realised I had overwritten the config file, so I tried to revert the changed in my host, but since it was a subdomain and not the actual domain, there was no backup.

I deleted all the files for a fresh reinstall, but I could not complete the install due to the existing database.

I deleted the existing database an created a fresh one, deleted all the files for EE and uploaded everything fresh.

Went to the homepage and I get this “Your config file does not appear to be formatted correctly.” which I presume is because I have not installed it yet,

So I went to the admin.php and I’m getting nothing but this “The configuration file does not exist.” I’m losing my mind!! I’m already thinking of giving the license back especially after all the work I did that I’ve had to delete!! #frustration#

Any ideas on what to do next to get me out of this hole I have dug for myself?

Thanks
