Upgraded to ee5, search add-on not available

How Do I?

I just upgraded an ee3 site to ee4, then to ee5. I went to the add-on’s form to enable the search add-on and it’s not listed. If I go to the add-ons directory on my server it’s present. Is there a way to force ee to (re)load the list of available add-ons? Or does anybody have any idea why some add-ons might not be listed after an upgrade?

I’d make sure that all of the files are intact and have proper permissions for PHP to read them. If that doesn’t get you going, please post specifically where you are looking and what you are seeing, both in the control panel as well as on your server.

Thanks for the reply, the permissions on /System/EllisLab/Addons/search are 755, and the permissions of the files within the directory are 644. This matches all of the other folders/files within the Addons directory, most of which I see listed (I haven’t checked every one). The files within the /search directory on the server match what I see in the /System/EllisLab/Addons/search directory that I downloaded and unzipped from EE - and the file sizes are identical.

In the Admin control panel I am at: /admin.php?/cp/addons with no filters applied.

Sorry I misunderstood you and thought you were referring to a third party search addon. The native Search is always enabled, there is no need to install it separately.
