Apologies for the real basicness of this post but am trying to learn ExpressionEngine after having had a developer build my site a few years ago. I’m stuck on something and wondering if anyone here can help.

The developer built the look of the homepage in the Stories template (this is where the blog’s stories typically go). This homepage has one main story/image and then 6 smaller stories/images in 2 row which I can change/update as I wish by using a drop-down selection menu. Now I’m able to adjust the default template group so that more stories will show up on the site’s landing page, but I can’t seem to edit the homepage my developer created. Specifically, I’m trying to add more stories to the field. But it’s greyed out.

Any suggestions/tips or where to find the info is appreciated!

I figured it out. It was a channel, not a template that I needed to edit.

Glad you got it figured out- I’m still a little unclear on the setup you were working with!
