Allow renaming of custom fields in Edit Publish Layout

As per topic, it would be nice if EE allows renaming of custom fields in the Edit Publish Layout settings.

For example, I have an Event channel. Instead of Entry Date, it is easier to understand if I rename it to Event Date.

Apart from the above, this will allow more flexibility of custom fields; i.e. user can use the same textarea custom field for both Blog and FAQ channel but with different names (Blog -> Blog Body; FAQ -> Answer).
