Hi,
We have a legacy site running EE2 which will need working on, so I’m attempting to build a vanilla copy of it, which I got from github(https://github.com/ExpressionEngine/ExpressionEngine/releases/tag/2.10.1 <–here), so I can get to grips with how things worked back in 2015. The problem is that when installing, it asks for a license number and email address. Is it possible to bypass this or do I have to licence this dev version I’m testing with? In a few days or a week or so I’ll get access to the actual site we will be upgrading/converting to something else, but until then I won’t have access to the original license we had.
Is it possible to install this without the key somehow? It’s to do a trial conversion/export of some dummy content so that when I get access to our actual source it will hopefully be faster..
Thanks,
Alejandro
Hi Derek,
Yes just to confirm, it didn’t seem to need the correct email address to accompany that live key, and installed fine.
I have to apologise though because I then went and switched computers and left my forum password in the old one! So I wanted to send some thanks for your reply!
The problem is, by default I have php 7, so I’m getting some strange errors:
count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable
This fires off before the “body” tag so the next error is:
Cannot modify header information - headers already sent
I will try downgrading to 5.3 and see if that solves it!
Thanks
Ale
