Menu Manager Single link replacing . from URL

Hi all —
Menu Manager is a great way to improve an editors job when using EE.
I am trying to create a Single Link to an external page using Menu Manager, but it keeps replacing the . in the URL with _
So, www.bbc.co.uk becomes www_bbc_co_uk
Anybody had this problem before and has a cure fore it?

which version are you running? 5.2.3 seems ok for me.

Thanks for confirming 5.2.3 runs okay.
I’m running the latest, 5.2.4.
It’s happening on a local version running on MAMP, and on a live server too. So I don’t know if it’s in the 5.2.4 build, or an environment thing?
