EE3: referrer module?

How Do I?

Hi,

I’m having a steepish learning curve on EE3, but finally have it installed, have done the normal post-install security measures, et cetera. Now I’m settling down to actually set up the site. But…I am noticing that the referrer module seems to be missing? I liked having that - it was a nice quick-check on where some of my traffic was coming from that day. Is that completely dead, or is it ever being revived?

Thanks for any help!

I’m glad you’re up and running- though I would recommend pushing on to the latest- version 5. If there’s anything holding you back, let me know know.

And the referrer module isn’t coming back natively. It really boiled down to most folks are going to use google analytics and/or server tools to track it. That’s what I personally do (google analytics) and what I’d recommend.

What might be a good option- use Google Analytics and check out Dashboard Analytics, which pulls your google data into the ExpressionEngine CP for easy viewing. It’s especially nice for clients.
