Preview an entry that is closed
How Do I?
Hi all,
Clients always get back to me about the Preview feature on entries and how they are unable to preview an entry if entry is currently closed. I understand that you can set the status of an entry to ‘Open’ and not save the entry and it will reload in the preview window but my clients always seem to forget this and isn’t very intuitive. Does anyone know of a work around, or developed a work around to view a saved closed entry in the preview window.

What did you do to solve this? It will help people in the future with the same issue. I assume you use a different template for the preview that allows closed entries to be displayed?
Agreed- it’s always nice if you can share the solution. I’m thinking you used the live preview conditional?
I didn’t know about that conditional! That might solve an issue I’m having, thanks Robin!
It’s really handy- we do a conditional for status, so preview shows all of the statuses.
