I am using the code from the docs (5x) to remove index.php - all works well.

Now, I need to NOT remove it from a subdirectory and all directories within. Basically ignore a specific directory and all directories within.

I’ve tried a few things but was not successful, to the point I ended up with an internal server error :/

Now I am back up an running, and trying again. Does anyone know how to pull the above off?

Thanks.

This is quite vague! Could you explain a little more with examples please?

Are you saying that you want expression to always run from a sub directory, like: http://domain.com/subdirectory/index.php (i know the index.php would be removed!)

If so, have a look at rewritebase, and the location of the htaccess in relation to the subfolder.
