404 Error when Updating Template

*Note - our Web Dev is out sick and I’m not super experienced in EE. I updated copy (just simple change of text within ” “) in a template and when I clicked on Update, it gave me a 404 Error. I tried clicking Update again, without making the change, and I got the same 404 Error, even when leaving the page as it was.
I closed entries (list of products) on that same page, but that was the only thing I changed.
Do you know what I might be doing wrong?

Is there any way you inadvertently altered the URL slug of your page?
You said you changed text within ” ” inside a template… That could mean lots of things since each EE implementation is unique.
So without seeing how your site is built/structured from the inside, I’m not sure I can help beyond that.
