having trouble with Email contact form

I get a “this form is non-secure” warning. Clicking okay seems to submit the form and redirects me to the homepage.

It seems the form does not get submitted since I don’t receive the email. I’ve tried using the communication panel and that works, I am able to send and receive the email.

That is the first issue, the second is that the redirect and return parameters do not seem to work at all.
