How to enable rich text editor?

Hello, It may sound stupid but how do I use the rich text editor?
I’m not too familiar with EE and enabling the RTE add-on doesn’t have any effect as textarea is blank with no editor buttons in it. Is there anything I must do? Thank you for any help 😊

You have to go to the control panel, under “Developer” and enable it in “Add-Ons”. You will see it in “Add Ons”
I wonder what happened to the EE Learn University.

I have EE6, under add-ons it’s on the installed group of add-ons. That’s strange

Issue fixed… after a while. If someone has the same silly problem as me, it’s not enough to have the Rich Text Editor plugin enabled. But - obviously now - to change the content field setting from textarea to rich text editor
