What happened to the "view code" button in the RTE?

How Do I?

In earlier versions of the Rich Text Editor there was a “view code” button that allowed viewing HTML markup, but as of EE6 it seems to be absent. Is there no way to view/edit markup in the RTE, now?

Hi Gprobst,

Thanks for getting in touch about this. This is actually a limitation in the new version of CKEditor 5 that the RTE field has switched to using under the hood.

That’s a bit of a bummer. Thanks for the explanation!

Yeah, I hear you. FWIW Wygwam still has the view source button (it’s staying on CKEditor 4).

We’re considering some other options as well.

What about Redactor JS? The website has so many plugins…its also a wysiwyg editor.
