Number of hits and stats
How Do I?
Hi, Is there somewhere in EE of seeing number of visitors etc? (I’m not talking about members as I’m not using that feature, just external hits to pages). Thanks Mark
I believe you are looking for the stats tag
{total_guests} I believe is what you are looking for.
Thanks for your reply. Possibly, although maybe I can get the data from awstats in cPanel - I’ve no idea if that’ll work with EE.
Also, the Stats tag seems to be version 6 whereas I’m using version 5 - is there anything in version 5 do you know?

Also, standard procedure for web servers is to maintain a log of requests. (I know where the apache2 log file resides)
But, If you were to filter the log with a regular expression to match only request to a certain URL, then by user agent IP address, that would give you a somewhat accurate count.
Did you say you are working on AWS?
