We are on an ancient release - v2.7.3 and had a whiteout this morning. Our site doesn’t appear to be loading (Bluehost). Any suggestions?

Check the PHP version, my guess is that your host has upgraded it.
Also, turn on debugging

energycell is right, probably it’s set to 7.0 or later. Any version of EE beneath 2.10 won’t work with php 7. Set to 5.6 and will work again.
