The setting for:

“Suspend threshold? All tracking will be suspended when the number of online visitors exceeds this number.”

I’d be surprised if more than 6 people ever look at my site, but I don’t want to anger my host either. 😊 I’m assuming this threshold number is for simultaneous visitors, correct?

Anyone know what the best practice here is?

Thanks for reading!

yes, that setting is for simultaneous users. As far as best practices, you should really talk with your server admin or host about how much traffic your site can handle. Some sites breakdown at 1000 simultaneous users, some 1,000,000. I guess some might even breakdown at 100, but I would think that to be a pretty low-level server or a site with some issues.

Excellent, thank you! And good idea, I’ll check with my host.

Interestingly, my host told me to check with ExpressionEngine. So I’m not that worried about making them angry now. 😊
