Hi all, I’ve written this module to make it easier for people to maintain navigation for their websites.

Would this module work for EE2 by any chance?

Cheers

Hi,

To all people interested in a EE 2 compatible version of this module, I will inform you about my plans for future versions some time next month.

Cheers, Elwin

@Cocoaholic

I love this module! I’ve added in support for an image field, which optionally uses MX Universal Editor’s standalone image browser if the Fieldtype is installed. Would you consider integrating into the next version? I can send you the code.

Great module! I noticed there is no mention of this variable in the docs, which was the one I needed.. I found it by inspecting the name of the form element in the Control Panel: {nav_url_segments} - I’m using it to compare to the value of {segment_1}, like this: {if nav_url_segments == segment_1} class=”selected”{/if}

I think the module is having issues with the 1.6.9 changes to the pages module, mind updating it?

This is one of those add-ons that could benefit by having {count} and {total_results} - or a {first} and a {last}. I need to determine (ideally dynamically) the last item of my navigator group to add a special class. I know this can be added in the {nav_properties} manually, but I don’t want to give the client anything extra to have to remember if I don’t have to.

If anyone’s interested in a 1.6.9 compatible version, I’ve created a github repo of my version: http://github.com/wesbaker/wb.navigator.ee_addon

Thanks for posting that Wes – just updated a site to 1.6.9 and had all of the navigation break :-(. Switching to your version 1.4.

For anyone else who’s curious as to what happened, here’s the EE update note about what changed in the Pages module in 1.6.9:

http://expressionengine.com/docs/installation/version_notes_1.6.9.html

That change in EE breaks how Navigator 1.3 grabs page URIs. Wes’s Navigator 1.4 grabs page URIs in a manner compatible with EE 1.6.9.
