I’m having a strange issue with file manager that I as hoping you could help me with. I have an install of EE (version 1.6) with a number of different user groups. The groups are locked down as far as the sections then can post to and such. When they go to upload a file through file manager, they receive the following error message:

The file you are attempting to upload has invalid content for its MIME type.

The really strange thing is that I am only getting this error message for six or so .pdf files that the client sent over (in other words I can upload any other file as them without any problem) AND I’m only get the error when I’m logged in as them. If I’m logged in as a super admin I can upload these six files without any errors at all.

This one is really throwing me for a loop… any ideas?

An error of an unknown type was encountered.

That’s an error thrown back by the native Upload class. Can you check if you get the same error when uploading a file using the Publish page’s upload utility?

Happy to see you’re still supporting this, even with EE2 right around the corner. Thanks for your efforts Lodewijk! I have just downloaded it. I’m using EE as a small intranet for my company. This looks like it might do the trick.
