Help with Freeform, radio buttons and dropdown menu

I really like the Freeform Module, Thanks so much solspace! My question is how do I add radio buttons or a dropdown menu? In the freeform control panel it only gives me the option to create a text area and text box! Do I just add those options to my template and freeform will recognize them when it populates it? I am little confused! Also I am using the most current version of EE and Freeform.
Freeform 2.4 Form Tag Docs has an example for radio buttons.
Drop down boxes you’d do by hand.. for an example, you could use a drop down box for State. Just like you’d code it for an html form.
hi how can i handle dropdown-fields when i want it to be a required field in freeform. because there is always an option (for example: Please select a Country)?

Wow, hard to believe that select field dropdowns still aren’t available in freeform. I was just looking for that option myself!
