Sorry for the new topic, but I felt like I was going blind trying to go through the original thread for Mark Huot’s Files extension.

Anyway, I just want to know how to display the thumbnail created by the extension. Right now, when I use {article_image} it gives me the full URL for the full sized image, but I don’t know how to get at the thumbnail image.

Thanks.

Well, I just ended up scrapping the File extension, used the default file upload, and created two text fields in which to put the thumb and full-sized image. I love how flexible EE is.

We use PHPthumb to build all thumbnails.

http://phpthumb.sourceforge.net/

It works perfectly with EE and the file upload extension.

Thanks for the reply!

Actually, creating the thumbs wasn’t the problem – I was just curious how to display the thumb. So, I had a field called article_image, and putting {article_image} in my template would display the full sized image, but I wasn’t sure how to also display the thumb that had been created.

Eric,

You simply add ‘_thumb’ to the end of your custom field. So {article_image} would become {article_image_thumb}.

Haha! OMG, that is so obvious. Thanks for pointing that out!
