I’m having problems with the control panel.
There’s no logic here to how the icons work. I can’t click to activate more than one icon. Then when I do click multiples clicking one activates the previous, and disables the current. It’s hard to explain but it is REALLY not working right for me.
Probably best if you logged in to look at it.
There’s also a problem showing images. the buttons show a red X on the reddit and blogter icons. I’ve verified they ARE there but for some strange reason they don’t appear.
I’m using IE 7 FYI. IN Firefox it works fine.
i like this a lot! thanks! i only wish i could get the icons a bit smaller… but other than that and the adding of other sites it’s great!
@Daniel090: The icons in the admin are favicon size. You can chage the icons in the template can be customised by using a custom path.
/your_custom_path/{social_site_img_url}
nice! i’ll look into that…
one more wish now, and only because i don’t know css like i should! lol! the wp plugin has a hover effect. it looks amazing!

UPDATE: got it! thanks yoshi!!
I installed the module this evening and I too can’t get the control panel to respond to mouseclicks on the various icons. The toggle to check all or uncheck all worked to unset the two that were on after the initial install. I’m using the Safari web browser (v 2.0.4) on a Mac. I haven’t tried logging into the control panel using Firefox yet… Otherwise it looks great and will probably work well on my current project site.
UPDATE: Version 1.2 (noted in next post) fixed my problems using the Safari Browser - Thanks Leevi.

@WCW: I have just updated the module to 1.2 with fixes for Safari. Im hoping that this will fix the IE7 bug as well.
You can get it from the documentation page…
Just replace the existing files with those in the .zip
I’m using firefox latest build on windows and none of the toggle clicks in the control panel are working for me. clicking individual sites or the check all / uncheck all - nothing works. just downloaded 1.2
@The Linguist:
Im sure you have tried it but just incase you may need to clear your cache (both browser and EE). I moved the JS to the the head of the page. If your head is still old and the body new there may be some issues.
Ill try and debug it on a firends computer tonight.
I’m experiencing the same problem.
Wondering about step 5 in the installation process:
Copy the themes/cp_global_images/social_bookmarks directory to your /system/themes/cp_global_images directory
The themes directory is not located in the system folder.
(For the record, I tried it as described in your instructions, as well as in the other location. Neither worked in either IE or Firefox. I’m running EE 1.6)
I added other social sites by going into phpmyadmin and doing it manually. Everything works great, except my site got some mysql errors when I added technocrati.
Finally the reddit icon shows up in FF but for some reason won’t show up in IE.
edit Just noticed that the module indicates that it is version 1.0 even though the zip file says it is 1.2

If you want to update the active sites string directly without the admin page look in your global variables. If you wish to add your own bookmarking sites check out this post: http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/55701/#273803
